Invest In Yourself

Network Marketing Tip – Invest In Yourself

Over 20+ years ago my mentor said three words that has been a huge impact on my life both personally and professionally, they were “Invest inInvest-In-Yourself Yourself”.  What I’ve learned over two plus decades is that there are many different ways to invest in yourself.  I’m going to outline ways that I have invested in myself.
Before I do, I have to tell you that there is one major obstacle that usually stands in the way from making a decision to invest in yourself.  That is FEAR.
I’m sure you’ve stood frozen in the past from investing in yourself because you thought the amount of the investment was too much.  I get that but what you should be basing your decision on is when you obtain this new information, when applied properly,  can it give you a return for your investment.
Just one nugget can improve your business or your life and take you to the next level.  When applied over time, used over and over, year after year, the amount of return on investment far outweighs the actual dollar investment.  That is what you should focus on and when you do the decision to invest in yourself becomes so simple.
Here are the some of the ways I have invested in myself and you should be investing in yourself to grow personally and professionally:
All forms of digital products and physical books that support the growth of you personally and your business.  They may include eBooks, audio, video material, webinars, online course material.
You should be attending live events, classes and training sessions.
You should be part of at least one mastermind group.  Two would be great if you have the time, one for your business and one that is for personal development.
Hiring a mentor/coach to work with you in a group setting or one on one for both your business and for personal peak performance is key as well.
There is a lot of good information out there.   Weigh the value of the content being offered to the investment dollars and ask yourself if you were to apply one major nugget of information being taught will you receive a ROI (Return On Investment) in the short term or long term.  Then look at your budget to make it work.  I have to warn you though, if you don’t stretch yourself to get out of your comfort zone by making the financial investment sting a little you might not apply the info with urgency thus not get the ROI you originally expected. A collection of clearanced training materials may look good on the shelf but that is not your goal.
Treat each decision to invest in yourself as if it were the last money you had and you have to get out of it more than the dollars put into it.  It will cause you to pay attention at a higher level and make sure you go through all the material not once, but many times.
I get really excited about this topic because I love seeing the transformation people go through. At first fear consumes them and hinders them from making the decision to invest in themselve. Then after they push through their fear to making the decision to just do it.  Ultimately their take action decision transforms their mindset and business by applying the new information.  This is where breakthroughs happen and it’s very exciting.
Let me encourage you to take steps each month to budget in some sort of dollar amount to invest in yourself.  Buy a book, read it, buy another.  Get involved in a mastermind group and hire a business or personal coach.  Stay active by making a decision to invest in yourself as often as you can.  Stretch and you’ll grow.  Continue to train so you can be the best person you can be. I found that when I stopped training I was not as sharp in my decisions and because I was not running in the game I fell behind. That is never good. You don’t need to make that mistake.  Training should be part of your life for the rest of your life.

How To Create A Vision Board

Network Marketing Tips: How To Create A Vision Board

How to create a vision board and why should you have one.  A vision board gives you a visual illustration of The vision you have for your life and what you want to become.  Your mind becomes very powerful when you put images in front of you on a daily basis. These images activate your sub-conscious mind so that you are moving in that direction all day.

Here’s how to create a vision board, the different types and where to place them so you can see them all the time. This is a powerful exercise and it is a piece of the big puzzle that will enable you to be on the road to creating the lifestyle you always dreamed.

What should you put on your vision board?  Here are some great examples of how to create a vision board and why --  If you want a bigger, nice home or  you want to move to another part of town or even to another country  then- print images of your ideal home/location  from Internet.  You can even cut them out of home magazines. Get as specific as you can, find pictures of the type of kitchen, bedrooms and recreation areas of the home. Do you want to upgrade your car ? Own a boat ? How about  a motorcycle? Place images of those on your vision board.  If you love to travel as I do, then grab pictures of where you want to go around the world.

Decide how much you want to be earning per month. Then print that out and place it on the vision board. Do the same for what you want your cash balance to be in your bank account. What dollar amount to you want to donate and to who? Print out a check or use one of your checks from your bank account and write out the check. Now that you've learned how to create a vision board, put these items on your vision board.

Now where do you put your vision board? If you work from home put it where you can see it when you are sitting at your desk. Create mini versions of your vision board and keep one in your bathroom where you get ready in the morning.  Place a mini on your refrigerator. Do you have a dream to get out of your current job one day so you can work from home?  Then you should have a mini vision board at your current office. How about on the dash of your car so you can see it on your way to and from work?

Teach your team how to create a vision board and watch your business explode month after month!
There was a time when wanted a bigger home for my family, a nicer car and a luxury watch. I found images of what I wanted and put them on my vision board.  My wife and me didn’t care who saw what was on our vision board when they came to our house. We boldly placed it on our refrigerator.  It was a great conversation starter that broke the ice as to what we were doing and allowed us to use as a recruiting tool.

Visualization is a powerful tool to use that will enable to keep you motivated when the days become long when it’s hard to be your best.  Having your vision board in several areas around your house allows you to dream build. Don’t forget to include your spouse and family.  If you have children you should teach them how to create a vision board and they can even create their own and include some of their pictures on your vision board or create a family vision board along with each person’s individual vision board. When you learn how to create a vision board your entire family gets involved and you get support from your spouse too! You will need that support.

Each day you can use your vision board as motivation to get you through the times when you don’t want to actively build your business. The visual reminder will also allow distractions to not get in the way.  You can receive what you visualize as long as you take action each day to achieve the financial goals you set forth. Visualizing what’s on your vision board opens up the gateway to allow your dreams to happen.

So take action now that you’ve learned how to create your vision board and create it today! As your build it, your vision will expand and your will reach those images on your vision board. When you evolve remove those you have obtained and add new images with bigger goals.  You can do this and then watch your business grow!

Is Network Marketing For Real

Network Marketing Tip: Is Network Marketing For Real

Is Network Marketing for Real? That is a common question not only from a prospect looking at the industry for the first time. This question can alsoIs-Network-Marketing-For-Real come out of doubt from someone who has had some experience but at the same level of success as those around him. So is Networking Marketing for Real?
Without hesitation the answer is YES.  Here’s some facts to  back up the question is network marketing for real. Last year the industry of network marketing (sometimes called MLM, Multi-Level Marketing or Direct Sales) created around the world 167 billion in revenue.  The top 21 counties each generated over 1 billion in sales annually.
Inside the United States, one-third of the adults (equal between 80-90 million people) purchased some sort of network marketing product or service from an independent distributor in the last 6 months.  These companies are for real and as strong as any other big box company, there are several financially strong  network marketing companies that are traded on the stock market. That sounds real to me!
Why are you asking the question is Network Marketing for Real? The bigger question is your job for real and will it be the financial plan to get you where you want to go in life?  Every year, the direct sales industry produces more millionaires than any other.  Is network marketing for real, I would say yes!
When I was in my early twenties personal development was new to me.  The first company event I attended Les Brown was the keynote speaker.  He changed my life that day.  He talked about personal development and the fact you have to work harder on yourself than you work on your business. You have to prepare yourself to make it past all the no’s people will give you. Those negative reactions will come from those close to you because you are in a network marketing business. You will have to be strong and hold your ground in order to make it.
Is network marketing for real and are you giving yourself a real shot to be successful?  I don’t know.  You need to have a game plan. To stay in the game and make it past your first few years you must adapt strategies such as the 1/96th of a day principle.  There are 96, 15 minute increments in a day.  Take one of those 15 minute increments and schedule time to listen to, watch or read some type of personal development material to prepare yourself mentally. Try this for 30 days Your business will become real to you and your belief will be unshakable.
When your dream gets so big it keeps you up at night and you know in your heart of hearts that it’s because of how excited you are about your future.  How real is that? Would you like to experience something that real? It in this business called network marketing.  My experience in network marketing brought me to personal development. That live changing process and finding a mentor launched me forever a supporter of this industry. Without the right leaders I might have quit and given up, but thankfully I have a success story to tell and I am honored when I get to work with others to train them how I have been trained to succeed.
YOU deserve greatness and this industry provides you the pathway to just that! When you come across the question is network marketing for real you’ll be so fired up and excited that yes will be all over your face before it comes out of your mouth.
